Super Bowl Recipe Makeovers
By Heather LeDish
Congratulations! You survived the holiday season and now it’s time to focus on the biggest game of the year! Both football fans and those watching only for the commercials alike look forward to the game day snacks.
This year consider making more than delish food. Invite the entire family in the kitchen and create fond memories while preparing the game day spread together. You may not remember the winning teams from year to year, but you’ll never forget the time spent with your kiddos!
Super Bowl Sunday isn’t complete without cheese dip, ranch and snack mix. Below are recipes for healthier, made-over versions of these classics that will satiate both your taste buds and your conscience. Best of all, the recipes are kid-friendly and super easy with five ingredients or less. Viva la Vivi!
No processed cheese, please. I believe it’s required by law to serve cheese dip during the Super Bowl. Now you can enjoy this quintessential game day food the all-natural way.
This yum-azing ranch dip is packed with calcium and protein! You may be tempted to eat it by itself, but we recommend serving it with veggies or chips.
Don’t forget the snack mix – repeat – DO NOT forget the snack mix! This energy-boosting concoction packs a punch and will fuel the crowd for a long day of cheering (or jeering).
